The following are the studio policies for the Piano Praise Studio of Cathryn Judkins. Please read and sign the bottom along with the signed Student and Parent Contract.

•Prior to the first lesson, students are to pay tuition payment for the month’s lessons and the material fee of $40 (total $90.00)

•After that, tuition of $50 is due monthly on the first lesson of each month.

•Payment must be received by the first lesson of each month. Late payments will be assessed a $10 late fee per student per week

Materials Fee

•There will be a $40 materials fee collected at the beginning of each term (September and January). This pre-paid fee is used to pay for music curriculum books and materials used throughout that term. This is additional to tuition

•As a service the Studio purchases all music materials for the student.

Cancellation Policy

•Your weekly lesson time is reserved for you and must be paid for in full. Any missed lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance with a possibility of make lesson if a possible time fits in the Studio schedule. Make up lessons are not guaranteed.

Terms

•Lessons will be in two terms per year. Term one is January to July. Term two is September to December. There is also a week-long summer camp each August that is optional at an additional fee.

Practice

•Students are expected to practice 6 days a week at home a total of 30 minutes each day. I recommend that for children under 10 years of age that time is broken up into smaller chunks of time practicing one or two elements at a time. Daily practice is necessary for progress, but so is a continued desire to want to play the piano.

These 30 minutes consist of practice at the piano and of theory and study work.

•Practice sheets need to be signed by a parent.
